£55m full scheme bulk purchase annuity buy-in covers the pensions of 667 members.
The scheme is sponsored by the British Board of Agrément Holdings Limited, a construction product performance assessment, testing and certification firm. The transaction secures the benefits of all of the 39 deferred members and 82 pensioner members in the scheme, covering all of the scheme’s liabilities.
Transaction enables accelerated growth, strengthens term life and pension risk transfer solutions.
The UK pension risk transfer market has leapt past an extraordinary milestone, with over £500bn of transactions completed since 2007, according to analysis by Hymans Robertson.
The Scheme is sponsored by Royal Star & Garter, a UK charity that provides care for veterans and their partners living with disability or dementia; the transaction was completed in November 2025 and secures the benefits of 251 members.
