This is the third scheme Just Group has insured for The Church of Scotland Pension Trustees after two prior transactions, valued at a combined £75m, were completed in December 2024.

The Abbey Life Assurance Company Limited Staff Pension Scheme has completed a £200m bulk purchase annuity transaction with Standard Life.

The transaction, which completed in April 2026, covers the pensions of 1,584 members, which includes c.600 deferred members and approximately 900 current pensioners and dependants.

£42m bulk purchase annuity transaction secures the pensions of 485 members.

£66m buy-in, which completed in March and covers 590 members, is the mutual’s second BPA transaction with the pension scheme of a fellow mutual and the first with a building society.

The transaction, completed in March 2026, secures the benefits of 16 deferred and 24 pensioner members of the scheme and completes the buy-in of all scheme liabilities.

160m bulk purchase annuity buy-in was completed in March 2026 and secures the pension benefits for all 2,216 of the scheme’s members, comprising 1,108 members with pensions in payment and 1,108 deferred members.

£11m bulk purchase annuity buy-in with Just Group. The deal secures the benefits for 147 scheme members.

All 500 members of the Videndum DB scheme and £43m of assets will transfer to the Clara Pension Trust, which will see Clara inject additional ringfenced capital into the scheme.

Having entered into a full scheme pension buy-in with the trustees of the Noble Foods Limited Pension Scheme in April 2025, Utmost Life and Pensions has now issued 455 individual buy-out policies to scheme members and dependants less than a year after entering into the initial buy-in contract.
